MICROBURST served as an embedded production and creative partner for SportsEdTV over 8+ years, scaling high-volume instructional video content across 30+ sports to build a free, world-class global platform that empowers athletes, coaches, and parents. This long-term collaboration transformed a startup vision into a leading media network with massive reach and industry partnerships.
Project Description
SportsEdTV set out to democratize sports education by creating a free, global online platform with world-class instructional videos across 30+ sports. The challenge was to produce and scale hundreds of high-quality videos and campaigns quickly and cost-effectively while maintaining cinematic storytelling that inspires athletes, coaches, and parents worldwide—all without the overhead of a large agency.
MICROBURST embedded directly with the founders as an extension of their team, delivering full-cycle video production leadership from concepting and on-location shoots (in South Africa, France, and the United States) to editing, post-production, and distribution.
We challenged assumptions on content quality, leveraged AI for rapid prototyping/storyboards, automated repetitive tasks, and optimized for engagement—resulting in award-winning series (Telly Gold Awards), massive audience growth (up to 3.5 million monthly unique website visitors, over 1 million social followers, hundreds of millions in annual impressions), and high-profile partnerships with FIBA (including China youth programs), YMCA USA, i9 Sports, Chicago Public Schools (CPS SCORE "Back to the Basics"), RSPA, HEAD, SportCourt, and FreeLiveSports OTT/FAST channels.
