MICROBURST served as an embedded production and creative partner for SportsEdTV over 8+ years, scaling high-volume instructional video content across 30+ sports to build a free, world-class global platform that empowers athletes, coaches, and parents. This long-term collaboration transformed a startup vision into a leading media network with massive reach and industry partnerships.

Project Description

The Challenge

SportsEdTV came to MICROBURST management as a bootstrapped startup with a big vision and limited content. They wanted to build the world's largest free sports instruction platform — covering dozens of sports with world-class coaches — but had minimal production infrastructure, social presence, and an underdeveloped brand system to tie it all together. They needed a partner who could build the entire content engine from zero, on a startup budget, without compromising on quality.

What We Delivered

Over the past eight years, our team became SportsEdTV's production and content backbone. We produced hundreds of instructional videos across nearly a dozen sports, featuring Olympic champions, Hall of Famers, and top professional coaches. We built and managed all social media channels from the ground up. While we did not develop their website, we supported their early brand identity system that carries across their platform, more than two dozen social channels, and partnership materials. And we helped forge commercial partnerships with major brands and nonprofits — including YMCA, Wilson, FIBA, Waterdrop, FITLIGHT, Racquet Sports Professionals Association, and Chicago Public Schools — by producing the creative assets that supported those deals.

The Results

1M+ combined social followers across all channels, built from fewer than 50K. Hundreds of videos now streaming on the SportsEdTV platform and on Free Live Sports' FAST channel network. Several award-winning productions, including multiple Telly Gold Awards. A brand identity that held up from a startup pitch deck through a $1M+ equity crowdfunding raise and a $3M Series A. Eight years and counting — through funding rounds, pivots, and growth — because the work kept delivering.
